Warren

Hi All

Good to see the BLOG still alive and a few of you making comments.

In memory of my old schoolmate - Warren Bentley.

Warren left CPS in 1969, but in his heart, he never really left. Warren passed away on Xmas day 2003 dressed as Santa Claus at a kid's party

Help Needed

Hello
Does anyone know the whereabouts of Marilyn Steadman pictured in the photo from 1958? I believe she could be my Mum's youngest sister. My mother was born Sylvia Clare Steadman in 1941. She was one of 10 sisters who attended Campsie Public.Mum lost contact with them over 30 years ago and would dearly love to find them again. Any info would be very appreciated. Fiona Murphy

If you have any problems with it, email me back and I'll help you

Pat.... PASS... sorry. I'll pass on the speech thing on the Friday nite... I'm more of an "impromptu" type of person these days. Disco days are long gone, toooooo OLD

If there is anyone else reading this that is going on the Friday nite dinner...and you would like to have a chat about how it was way back then... please email  Pat. There are some GREAT memories on the BLOG that would be worthy of reading out!

OMT (one more thing) On the night/s & days... maybe you all could bring along some of your own memorabillia....PICTURES or anything. Could be good!!!!  We will ask you... (just ask) to put a sticker on your shirt / dress on Saturday arvo / nite with your YEAR and if your ok about it, your last name too. Even if just a way of knowing who is who.

Forget the DIET, tooo late for me. Too late to colour the grey hair ,,,,, Just hope to see you all there. We are planning to get to the school on Thursday for a look about and then again Saturday....and after at the RSL

Dear Jeff
I started in Kindergarten with Miss Nan Wright in (gasp) 1939as a four and a half year old and had a very happy 5 years at Campsie so happy that I never wanted to be anything else but a teacher which I did in due course.
I left at the end of 4th class to go to OC at Erskineville PS, So I would have left at the end of 1943.
I wonder if any of my fellow students from those years are still about.
Regards from Joan Leach (nee Green)

CPS Memories

What do you remember from the years that you went to CPS? Most is not all of my fading memories are good. Sure, there may have been little things back then that may have upset a few of you but if 40 odd years isn't enough time (water under the bridge) then what is... Pass on your thoughts and the things that you liked or other. Remember the MILK bottles we had to drink (1969 vintage) ... remember the dancing lessons in the playground? Honey & Nut rolls... Germs (girls)... I had my first "smoke" in the Bell Tower... what a highlight!!! Remember playing "spin the bottle" in the old wash sheds... and I fell in love with the girl I kissed on the cheek (so I thought) *big event for me but nothing for her :-)
Remember singing and speed reading.... standing up in class to say your "times tables" that you actually would practice at home. Play lunch, BIG lunch... The double story bus that we used to race to, to get up front and up top.. Your turn! Tell us what you remember.
